Job Description
The Physical Therapy Aide supports the physical therapy team in providing care to patients by preparing treatment areas, assisting with patient mobility, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. This role is crucial in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists and assistants in the preparation and execution of treatment plans.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring equipment is clean and functional.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility as directed by therapy staff.
- Assist with patient intake and ensure necessary documentation is completed.
- Monitor and record patient progress, reporting any concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring timely restocking.
- Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and their families.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Working Conditions
