Job Description
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering quality care and support to patients in healthcare facilities or home care settings. The CNA assists patients with daily living activities, monitors their health, and ensures their comfort and safety under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This position requires compassion, strong communication skills, and a commitment to promoting the dignity and well-being of each patient.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting).
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to ensure comfort and safety.
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient environments.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Follow care plans and assist nurses with basic medical tasks as directed.
- Document care activities accurately and promptly.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Requirements
- Active and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate in the state of employment.
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on the facility).
- At least 6 months to 1 year of CNA experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
- Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and assist patients safely.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
